Half of the PSL matches to be played at home next year: Najam Sethi

KARACHI: Pakistan cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi said that half of the matches in the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played at home.

He was talking with media at the National Stadium, where he made a visit to review the arrangements of the PSL final, scheduled to be played on Sunday.

He said: “Believe me I do what I say. I have fulfilled one promise by holding the PSL final at Karachi and the other will be accomplished next year when more matches of the tournament, at least half, will be played in Pakistan".

The PCB chairman said that Karachi and Lahore have got green signal and now we will revive international cricket in Islamabad and Peshawar, too.

He said that new stadia will also be built in Islamabad and Peshawar.

Sethi said that he wanted to hold double weekend matches in the next PSL as there would be matches on Thursdays and Fridays in UAE and on Saturdays and Sundays in Pakistan.
