LAHORE: Middle-order batman Umar Akmal has said he was hopeful of justice from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman in the show-cause matter.
Speaking to the media after submitting his reply to the show-cause notice issued to him by the PCB, Akmal said he had mentioned in the written reply whatever had happened to him.
I had talked to the media after verbal abuses by head coach Mickey Arthur became unbearable for me, he said.
He went on to say that he had been tolerating injustices for the last three to four years.
The middle-order batsman had recently alleged in a presser that Arthur had verbally abused him in front of Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq.
He had maintained his stance that he continued to “suffer injustices” at the hands of coach Arthur, which prompted him to speak out finally.
