CARACAS: At least 35 inmates have died in a prison riot in Venezuela´s southern state of Amazonas, the region´s governor said on Wednesday.
Governor Liborio Guarulla tweeted that the "massacre" occurred in the penitentiary in the town of Puerto Ayacucho. "More than 35 corpses" were found by a special interior ministry team that went inside, he wrote.
