SRINAGAR: Indian troops martyred a woman during a violent crackdown and fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on the demonstrators in Islamabad district of occupied Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the woman identified as Tahira Begum during a violent crackdown in Dialgam area of the district after the troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on the demonstrators who were protesting against the operation.
Eyewitness told media men that Tahira Begum was hit by a bullet. They said that she was immediately shifted to District Hospital, Islamabad, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Several people have also been injured, some of them critically, in the troops’ action while protests in the area are going on.
Meanwhile, the puppet authorities have snapped the mobile internet services in the district and imposed curfew-like-restrictions in Dialgam.
The authorities have also announced closure of educational institutions in the district to prevent students from staging demonstrations against the killing of the woman.
