DUBAI: Peshawar Zalmi set a modest target of 167 runs for Lahore Qalandars in the in the 16th Twenty20 match of the Pakistan Super League 2017 here at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Peshawar Zalmi made 166 runs for six wickets in the allotted 20 overs with the help of a fine fifty by opener Kamran Akmal.
He scored 58 from 40 balls with nine fours.
The other notable contribution was 30, made by Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan while Bangladesh’s opener Tamim Iqbal was the only batsman who failed to get into the double-figures.
Leg-spinner Yasir Shah was the most successful bowler for Lahore Qalandars with two wickets for 19 runs.
Lahore Qalandars made one change in their team, bringing in left-arm pacer Ghulam Mudassar in place of Mohammad Irfan Junior while Peshawar Zalmi made two changes: Eoin Morgan and Iftikhar Ahmed were out and they were replaced by Marlon Samuels and Mohammad Hafeez.
