DUBAI: Quetta Gladiators were restricted to 136 for nine in the allotted 20 overs in the second Twenty20 match of the Pakistan Super League 2017 here at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
After being put into bat by Lahore Qalandars, the Quetta Gladiators batsmen could not resist the bowling attack except south African allrounder Rilee Rossouw and upto some extent Asad Shafiq.
Rossouw made a brilliant fifty, scoring 60 off 47 balls with three fours and two sixes while Asad scored 29 off 28 balls with four boundaries.
For Lahore Qalandars, medium-pacer Mohammad Irfan Junior was the most successful bowler with three wickets for 26 runs while off-break bowler Sunil Narine and left-arm medium-pace bowler Sohail Tanvir claimed two wickets each.
Both teams, McCullum's Lahore Qalandars and Sarfraz Ahmed's Quetta Gladiators boast plenty of superstars of the T20 world and will be keen to get their tournament moving from the outset.
McCullum, Jason Roy, Sunil Narine and Grant Elliott are the Qalandars' overseas players while Kevin Pietersen, Rossouw, Tymal Mills and Thisara Perera are the Gladiators' foreign players.
