Eerie: The Simpsons had predicted Trump as President 16 years ago!
NEW YORK: America's President-elect may have shocked the world by defeating opponent Hillary Clinton in the latest US Presidential election to become President Obama's successor to the Oval office but apparently, The Simpsons had remarkably predicted Trump as the most powerful man in the world, sixteen years ago!
The phrase 'truth is stranger than fiction' does ring a bell when it comes to this situation. In an episode titled Bart to the Future which aired in March 2000, Lisa Simpson becomes America's first female President of the United States of America. But guess what--she takes over from what the episode portrays as a disastrous presidency, from none other than Donald Trump!

America made that prediction come true when it voted on Wednesday for a new President and chose Donald Trump instead of Hillary Clinton. Regarding the episode, writer Dan Greany had said:-
"What we needed was for Lisa to have problems that were beyond her fixing, that everything went as bad as it possibly could, and that’s why we had Trump be president before her."
Dan Greaney spoke to a foreign website in March of this year and stated that the episode was intended to serve as a 'warning to America'.
"That just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting bottom. It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane," he said.
The Simpsons' earlier predictions had also become true, one notably in which they had claimed that The Rolling Stones would still be touring in 2016.
