ABU DHABI: Pakistan made clean sweep against West Indies in the three-match Twenty20 International series here at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Tuesday.

Chasing an easy target of 104, Pakistan completed their eight-wicket victory with 29 balls to spare when Shoaib Malik hit a long-on six off West Indies captain Carlos Brathwaite.

Shoaib remained not out on 43 as he faced 34 balls, hitting four boundaries and a six while Babar Azam made an unbeaten 27 off 24 balls after openers Sharjeel Khan (11) and Khalid Latif (21) were dismissed by debutant pacer Kesrick Williams.

This is Pakistan’s  first whitewash in a three-match T20 series.

They had won the first two matches by nine wickets and 16 runs respectively, both in Dubai

Earlier, left-arm spinner Imad Wasim helped Pakistan restrict the West Indies to 103-5 after they were put into bat.

Wasim finished with 3-21 as West Indies -- sent in to bat -- were left struggling at 31-4 before they added 72 more runs on a slow bounce pitch at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

Marlon Samuels, who top-scored with a 59-ball 42 not out, added 37 for the unbroken sixth-wicket stand with Kieron Pollard, who made an unbeaten 16.

Among others only Nicholas Pooran (16) and Dwayne Bravo (11) could get into the double figures after the West Indies were sent into bat.
