Tom Cruise extols Prince William and Kate Middleton

Hollywood star Tom Cruise said Prince William and Kate Middleton are amazing and charismatic during his TV appearance following the London premiere of his new film Digger.

Speaking on the Graham Norton Show, Cruise said, "They are amazing. Very charismatic. I had such a good time."

Prior to the royals' arrival at Leicester Square, Cruise had shared his fondness for the pair, saying: "I just love them. They are lovely people, and I have great respect for them."

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s official Instagram and X account also shared photos from premiere featuring Tom Cruise, David Beckham and others.

Meanwhile, Cruise described his character in "Digger" as "totally outrageous" and unlike any role he had encountered before.

"He's the kind of character that says things that some people think, some people can't imagine thinking," the Hollywood star said.

He added, "I've ‌never read a character like it. I've never read a film like this."

The film has generated much anticipation since a trailer showed Cruise transformed into eccentric oil tycoon Digger Rockwell with grey hair, facial prosthetics and a padded bodysuit.
