Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor can't live 'normal life' amid investigations
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's pals explain why he is in such a situation
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, after being forced out of Royal Lodge, is living in Sandringham in Norfolk.
But at their place, his life is secularised, according to friends of the former disgraced prince.
He has also been keeping a relatively low profile, away from the press spotlight and prying eyes.
However, the ongoing investigations are preventing him from living a normal life, his friends claim.
Currently, it appears there are two key investigations against King Charles' brother.
The initial one is alleged sexual misconduct.
The allegation is that Jeffrey Epstein brought a woman whose identity has been kept under wraps to Royal Lodge to have a sexual encounter with Andrew in 2010.
There is also an accusation that he relayed confidential information to the disgraced financier to allegedly benefit financially when Andrew was the UK's special representative for international trade and investment.
But according to ex-prince's pals, his life is effectively in "limbo" because the investigation is taking time.
For example, Thames Valley Police is seeking documents from the U.S. Justice Department and has also made a formal request.
But reportedly it could take a year.
Although Andrew is legally not banned from traveling, his life is far from normal because the investigation remains unresolved.
“Although there are no formal conditions which prevent him from travelling while this drags on, he cannot really stray far beyond his home,” one of his friends told The Telegraph.
“He cannot live his normal life as the police investigation goes on," Andrew's pal claimed.
