Ryan Reynolds reveals why his 50th birthday won’t be a big celebration
Ryan Reynolds has a surprising take on his milestone birthday
As Ryan Reynolds nears 50, the actor revealed that he is not planning anything big because he is not a fan of birthdays.
The Deadpool and Wolverine star, who is all set to turn 50 on October 23, joked that all the attention he gets on red carpets is "enough" and he doesn't need more in an organized blow-out bash.
"I don’t like birthdays. I mean, I’m fine with it. I don’t bemoan a birthday, but I’m not like: 'Hey, let’s have a huge party for me," he told People.
"I’m good. I get enough attention. I was just on a red carpet," he further remarked, adding, "This is plenty."
Although Ryan does not celebrate his birthday, he had to celebrate non-stop birthdays of three of his four kids from September to December as well as his and Blake Lively's wedding anniversary on September 9.
The doting dad gushed, "I’m in Birthday Alley. My kids, we have about four of our family members all just back-to-back to back-to-back. It’s Birthday Alley, and it goes right on into Christmas. Ceaseless.”
"Basically, yeah, to my 50th birthday. I mean, crazy. I’m mostly breathing in helium all day, filling balloons, emptying balloons, filling more balloons. That is Birthday Alley,” he added.
It is pertinent to mention that Blake ringed in her 39th birthday on August 25.
Ryan and Blake are parents to daughters Inez, 10, Betty, six, and James, 11, as well as son Olin, three.
