Jodie Foster 'shaken to the core' by John Hinckley Jr.'s chilling confession
John Hinckley Jr. sends Jodie Foster a message
Jodie Foster is said to be shaken after John Hinckley Jr. publicly addressed the actress after his infamous 1981 assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan.
Recently, John expressed his good wishes for the Oscar-winning actress. While the comments may have appeared benign, sources close to Jodie told Radar Online that the message has left her deeply unsettled.
The source said, "She's rattled, and quite frankly who wouldn't be."
"This guy is now a free man, but his deranged behavior says everything you need to know," they added. "So, Jodie could be forgiven for looking over her shoulder wherever she goes."
It is pertinent to mention that John Hinckley Jr. was 25 when he opened fire outside a Washington, D.C., hotel on March 30, 1981. Ronald and three others were wounded in the attack, including presidential press secretary James Brady, police officer Thomas Delahanty and Secret Service agent Timothy McCarthy.
Later, John was found not guilty by reason of insanity and spent more than three decades in psychiatric facility before ultimately becoming a free man in 2022.
His fixation with the actress stemmed from his belief that the actress would be impressed by the assassination attempt. In a recent interview, he acknowledged that his obsession had once been so extreme that Jodie Foster herself could have become his target.
Now, a source told the outlet, "It's pretty clear that she is still deep in his thoughts."
"He can apologize all he likes – she does not want to hear it," they added.
