Claude AI faces partial outage: What users need to know

Claude AI experienced a partial outage today with users facing a spike in errors starting around 9:40 am EDT while trying to access services across models like Claude Mythos 5.1, Fable 5.1, and Opus 5.

The company confirms that multiple Claude models were encountering increased error rates, according to Anthropic’s status page.

The affected models include Mythos 5.1, Fable 5.1, Mythos 5, Fable 5, Opus 5, Opus 4.8 and Opus 4.6. Anthropic says that it has fortunately found the cause of the errors and it is working to resolve it.

Given the situation, folks mixed frustration with humor, memes of code lines, underscoring daily reliance on the tool for work and creativity. The company is closely monitoring the situation and will inform users when all services are back online.

Users suffering from outages are also trending on Google with some are getting error messages including “Claude is at capacity.”

Furthermore, the biggest problems are with Claude Code and Claude Chat, with some users raising concerns about the applications.
