Norway’s Royal Family makes biggest change since King Harald’s passing
The Kingdom of Norway finally unveils its first ever portrait stylizing Hans Majestet Kong Haakon VIII (His Majesty King Haakon VIII) to the world amidst nation-wide mourning for Europe’s longest-serving monarch, his father King Harald.
The 53-year-old Crown Prince, turned King has been announced on the Royal Family’s official Instagram Page.
Check it out Below:
In the caption of the post they wrote, Hans Majestet Kong Haakon VIII ~ Alt for Norge. (which translates to His Majesty King Haakon VIII ~ Everything for Norway)
What is pertinent to mention about the recently passed monarch, he was 89-years-old and suffering from a rare blood disorder which made it so his red blood cells were dying faster than his bone marrow could make replacements. He ended up requiring a regent by the end of his reign, which has lasted all the way from 1991.
He is survived by his son and wife Queen Sonja.
