Google Gemini becomes PSG's official AI assistant in multiyear tech deal
The partnership will integrate Google’s AI technology across Paris Saint-Germain’s operations, helping enhance fan experiences, content creation, and club workflows
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) the reigning French soccer champions and winner of last season's European Champions League and Google announced a major, multiyear premium partnership.
Under the new deal, Google Gemini will become PSG's official AI assistant, integrated to drive innovation and support the club's digital ecosystem while Google Pixel will become the official smartphone of PSG, said PSG in a statement on its website.
As reported by Reuters, PSG will also set up a Google space at its stadium in Parc des Princes, Paris.
A dedicated Google tech space is being introduced to host partners, creators, and guests, allowing them to experience Google's latest artificial intelligence innovations firsthand.
Soccer teams and sport in general are increasingly using AI to assess data and create content for their social media channels.
In 2025, the English Premier League and Microsoft announced a five-year partnership whereby Microsoft's Copilot would be used in the league's digital platforms to provide quick facts and statistics about matches.
