UFC 329: Gable Steveson stuns in debut with first-round KO
Gable Steveson is one of the most proficient amateur wrestlers in United States and he signed with the Bills in 2024
Gable Steveson has secured his first victory under the UFC banner, remarkably stepping into the octagon as the heavy favorite on the card to face Elisha Ellison in his maiden match.
The 26-year-old delivered incredible results living up to hype and expectations for his first UFC fight. Ellison entered the fight with low confidence and fought back to test Steveson’s chin but was unable to halt the accumulation of strikes.
He took a short pause in the flight for a low front kick from Steveson. Meanwhile, Olympic gold medalist wrestler returned to work, picking Ellison apart.
On social platform X, fans have been sharing enthralling comets with one user writing, “It took longer to write this reply compared to the actual "fight."
Second said: “An anticipated comeback decided in just over a minute. That’s the unpredictability of elite MMA.”
Steveson can now call himself a winning UFC fighter and his training reflects his training with UFC legend Jon Jones.
Steveson is still inexperienced as an MMA fighter with just four fights but could find himself immediately climbing the ladder, given his profile as a champion.
