UFO spotted behind active volcano? Harvard professor exposes real truth
The video fueled speculation about a sighting of an UFO behind an active volcano
UFO theories were sparked after a mysterious orb was seen rising from behind an erupting volcano after a meteor passed by.
However, Avi Loeb, a theoretical physicist at Harvard, said there is almost no possibility of extraterrestrial involvement.
The incident unfolded at Mount Mayon in the Philippines on May 25.
In a jaw-dropping video, a green fireball streaked across the sky.
It was a meteor. Then, what happened next is lava pouring out of arguably the Philippines' most active volcano.
But what else viewers noticed was the bright white orb emerging from the back of the mountain.
This has fueled speculation online that it was a UFO that appeared from the volcano.
But the top Harvard professor did not concur with the popular view on the internet.
In his opinion, the mysterious light was probably a passing satellite.
"The light coming up is most likely the glint from a satellite reflecting sunlight," he told NewsNation.
"There are more than 10,000 communications satellites moving around the Earth, so it’s not very unlikely to see such a thing," he noted.
In the meantime, there is reportedly an uptick in interest about the UFOs after the White House declassified a batch of files about them.
