Bruce Springsteen has made clear that he has no regrets about bringing his political views to the stage.

Reflecting on his politically charged Land of Hope and Dreams tour, the rock icon explained that he knew his outspoken approach would not appeal to everyone.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, Springsteen said the tour represented the show he wanted to create and the story he wanted to tell.

He acknowledged that some audience members had been "vehement" about the political content, he said he was comfortable with the reaction.

He said, "I went out to find its audience, and I’m sure there were people, and I’ve read things where people were vehement about the content of the show, and that’s just the way the chips fall."

Adding, "And that’s okay with me right now."

He went on to joke that he's old and does "what I want to do."

"I always made the records I wanted to make and then went out and found the audience for them," he added.

Bruce Springsteen has spent decades incorporating social and political themes into his music. During the latest tour, he continued that tradition with performances and messages addressing the state of the country and current political issues.
