Meghan Markle ‘proud’ of cash boost from Australia trip despite backlash
Meghan Markle embraces earnings from tour as Prince Harry reportedly uneasy
Meghan Markle is said to be standing firmly by the financial success of her Australia trip with Prince Harry despite backlash.
According to a report, the Duchess of Sussex feels “proud” of the cash boost it brought in despite mounting criticism over how their philanthropic appearances were mixed with business activities.
While Meghan is believed to see the earnings as a strategic win and a reflection of her driven approach, an insider said the focus on money has left Harry uneasy.
“The idea that these terminally ill children have come out to greet you because you’re a member of the royal family and hours later you’re promoting your ‘hospital look’ for money,” they said.
The insider continued, “The Queen never would have imagined this could happen because it’s just basic human decency.”
However, Meghan sees no issue with their appearances, with an insider added that she is “incredibly driven.”
“She’s one of those people who gets a huge rush from hitting her goals; success is very addictive for her. Money has been a concern for her lately so this cash infusion is a big win and she’s proud of that.
“But for Harry that’s actually uncomfortable. He was taught never to speak about money. The fact that she’s talking numbers a lot rubs him the wrong way; he sees it as very gauche.
“He says he wishes she’d ease up on the constant money talk and enjoy what they already have. He worries she’s making herself so stressed about the future that she’s missing out on everything they have.”
