Elon Musk slams BBC over Epstein files photo controversy
Musk called the BBC’s prominent use of his photo misleading and accused them of propaganda
Elon Musk has fired back at the British public service broadcaster, the BBC, for using his photo in a story based on the Epstein files.
Taking to X, Musk called the BBC’s prominent use of his photo misleading and accused them of propaganda.
“The BBC is a pure propaganda machine,” Musk slammed the media company.
The 54-year-old billionaire added, “And, as the email shows, I obviously didn’t anticipate anything actually shady, as I was bringing my wife at the time (Talulah).”
“They worded this with a lawsuit in mind. Technically true that there is email correspondence, but absurdly false to use my image instead of someone who actually went to Epstein’s island,” Musk said.
Since the release of 3 million documents related to Epstein, the shocking revelations have stirred controversies related to high profile figures, including Donald Trump and Bill Gates.
The files also allegedly revealed the involvement of Elon Musk. But, the CEO of Tesla earlier this week clarified his position and denied any involvement with the late convicted sex offender, Jeffery Epstein.
Earlier this week, Musk also defended his reputation, citing, “I knew that I would be smeared relentlessly, despite never having attended his parties or been on his ‘Lolita Express’ plane or set foot on his creepy island or done anything wrong at all.”
While slamming the media for relentlessly smearing his reputation, the founder of xAI said, “Nonetheless, the extreme pain of being accused of being the opposite of who I am was worth it.”
