Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to make a big return to a beloved country for the first time in years, a rehash of their royal tour.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped away from the royal family back in 2020 but have continued their charitable efforts more independently and have even taken tours abroad, which have often been dubbed as ‘faux royal tour’ by experts.
The Montecito-based couple is now eyeing a major commonwealth country, where King Charles is the head of state, as they expressed their wishes to visit Australia first time since 2018.
In a letter addressed Angela Pearl, an astrologer based in Australia, dated Oct 24 disclosed some key details about the upcoming visit. Meghan’s royal cypher – a cursive M with a crown atop it – was present on the correspondence.
“We want to thank you for joining us,” the couple wrote. “Your energy and insight were such a welcome addition.”
Much of the letter was redacted, but the last sentence seemed to have given away the much-anticipated plans.
“On a separate note, we hope your family in Ukraine remain safe, and we look forward to staying in touch, especially as we look to visit Australia again.”
Australia holds a sentimental place for the Sussexes as Meghan was making her first royal tour after marriage. Harry had told Oprah in the 2021 interview that it was “effortless” to see Meghan “to come into the family so quickly in Australia and across New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, and just be able to connect with people,” Harry said.
“She was welcomed into the family not just by the family, but by the world.”
In response, Angela had described their meeting as a “special evening” as she expressed her gratitude to the Harry and Meghan for the “warm invitation and inspiring conversation”.
While nothing has been officially confirmed from the Sussex office, it is possible that the tour plans may be confirmed in 2026, much closer to the actual date.
Apart from Australia, there is another tour that Harry and Meghan are expected to take, which will happen in 2027. As Harry leads his Invictus Games to his home country, the Duke of Sussex will be visiting Birmingham. It is unclear if the Duchess will be joining him for the big event.
