Meghan Markle is already into holiday spirit as she shares an insight into the traditions she has created with her family over the years while living in the Montecito mansion, away from the royals.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who stepped back from their senior royal positions in 2020, have not returned for a traditional royal celebration given their strained ties. The Palace works on preparations at Sandringham as Christmas edges closer, with invites being planned for the celebration.
However, as reconciliation between Harry and his father King Charles are in progress, Meghan unveiled what holiday looks like in Montecito household.
In a rosy newsletter shared by Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, some of the Duchess’s favourites were revealed, including a rite of passage for the Sussex family.
“Well, those photos you’ve seen this year on our Instagram of Meghan walking through what seems like lavender, with its gorgeous purple hue, actually share the beauty of flowering sage (Fun fact: the varietal is called Santa Barbara),” it stated.
“Those strolls, with Archie and Lili running in tow, her husband checking on the bees, Pula chasing the ball with Mia trying to keep up — those were the sun-drenched moments that made an everyday walk something a bit more magical.”
Even though relations between Harry and his father are improving, the rest is not all that great with the royals. Prince William is still untrusting of his brother and sister-in-law, meanwhile, Kate appears to be prudent in her approach.
It is unlikely that the Sussexes will receive an invite for a celebration either for Sandringham or for Kate’s Together At Christmas Carol service on December 5th. Although, a possibility of greeting can still be entertained, a show of holiday spirit after a tough time for both the royals and the Sussexes.
