Meghan Markle held herself with confidence, embracing chic glamour, as she appeared on the December/January cover of Harper’s Bazaar for US.

Following the release of the winter edition on Wednesday, which the magazine refers to it as its art issue, the As Ever founder shared her first statement on social media.

Sharing the behind-the-scenes, in which Meghan appeared in her element posing for the camera in high-fashion ensembles, the Duchess expressed her gratitude to the team and the Editor-in-Chief, Samira Nasr.

“Thank you @harpersbazaarus @samiranasr and this extraordinary team for a special and unforgettable experience,” she penned.

The Duchess of Sussex, who went for a bare-faced look in the photoshoot, sat down for a wide-ranging interview in which she touched up on topics from her personal life to her professional endeavours and how the life after her royal exit has changed her.

Samira revealed that Meghan becoming their “Winter cover star” had been a long time coming.

“This cover is the culmination of a conversation that began 5 years ago,” the Editor revealed in a message on social media.

“I am eternally grateful to Meghan and her wonderful team for their collaboration and trust.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their senior royal positions in 2020 to start an independent life in the US. The Sussexes, who now live in their Montecito mansion, received multiple offers at the time, from book deals to lucrative Netflix contracts and interviews.

At the time Meghan had graced the covers of Time Magazine, The Cut, Variety and People Magazine before finally making it to Harper’s Bazaar.
