Meghan Markle’s glossy revealing interview might have been intended as a heartfelt ode to Prince Harry, but the internet sees it more as telenovela meets trophy wife fantasy.

The Duchess gushed about Harry in Harper’s Bazaar, claiming he "awakens that childlike wonder" in her and "loves me so intensely, so completely," even declaring, "No one in the world loves me more than him."

But Reddit users quickly noticed that Meghan didn’t say anything about loving her husband back.

Critics likened the feature to Rubi, the iconic Mexican telenovela about a beautiful woman whose love must be earned except, as one user sniffed, "Rubi actually was stunning, so the premise made sense."

Harry’s “childlike” nature also raised eyebrows, with some suggesting he sounded less like a partner and more like a preschooler with a crush.

When Meghan arrived at a friend’s home for a follow up interview, a staff member formally announced, “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex” despite the fact that only the journalist was present.

In the repeated emphasis on the couple’s long time romance and photos critics called “Diana cosplay 2.0,” and the internet had a field day.

Yet beneath the viral mockery, Meghan’s interview offered genuine insight into her philosophy on life under public scrutiny.

The 44 year old explained how she gives herself “grace” to make mistakes, citing her children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as inspiration.

"I watch them face things that feel completely insurmountable every day," she said.

"But you can remember and say, I know it seems really hard right now, but trust me, that’s going to come so easily soon. I can give myself the same grace as a founder."

Markle admitted there’s no such thing as perfect. "I, too, get to make mistakes… so why try to do that if you want to have fun?" she mused.

The Duchess also stressed the importance of boundaries, balancing public life with family time, and protecting her authenticity. And, of course, Harry remains her steadfast shield against negativity.

"He loves me so boldly, fully, and he also has a different perspective because he sees media that I wouldn't," she said.
