Taylor Swift drops new 'Eras Tour' docuseries trailer: 'We're going backstage'
Taylor Swift takes fans along the journey of creating her multi-record-breaking 'Eras Tour'
It was the end of an era and we knew it, but now we get to witness its making.
Taylor Swift just dropped the official trailer for the upcoming Disney+ documentary about her multi-record-breaking The Eras Tour. The trailer dropped on November 13 on Good Morning America — exactly one month after Swift first announced the docuseries, and a month before her 36th birthday on December 13.
“Honestly, I can't think of a better way to celebrate my (almost) birthday than to relive the Eras Tour with you! This time we’re going backstage,” the pop megastar wrote as she shared the trailer on Instagram.
Set to drop on December 12, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era is a six-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries chronicling the "development, impact, and inner-workings” behind the tour, which spanned 149 shows across 51 cities and five continents.
“I came up with the idea of the Eras Tour about two years before the tour started. I wanted to over-serve the fans, in terms of the amount of songs they were gonna here, and how far I was gonna push myself,” Swift says in the trailer.
“My main goal is to give something to the fans that they didn’t expect,” she declares.
The multi-Grammy-winner then goes on to credit “all the dancers, the choreographers, the production designers, the crew, the entire band,” emphasising that “every person” on her team is the best one in the entire industry.”
“This was a seismic, momentous, period of time in my life, and in the life of anyone this tour touched,” says Swift.
In addition to the docuseries, Swift will also release Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show, a full concert feature film featuring the debut of Tortured Poets Department at the Eras Tour last year.
