US President Donald Trump sent the internet into a frenzy once again with his witty remarks about the Italian Prime Minister at the Gaza Peace Summit on October 13, 2025.

At a Gaza peace summit in Egypt on Monday, the US president took a pause mid-speech to make a complimentary remark to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

Speaking to the gathering, Trump called Meloni “a beautiful young woman,” a comment that set the internet into a storm.

He acknowledged that saying such a thing could end most political careers but added that he was “willing to take his chances."

Whirling midway through his remarks toward Meloni, Trump directly asked if she minded being called beautiful.

Without waiting for a visible reaction, he followed up by saying she was, in fact, beautiful.

The camera could not capture Meloni’s immediate response, as Trump’s back was blocking the view, but the internet buzzed with memes and rants.

Giorgia Meloni, 48, was the only woman among the 30 world leaders on stage, posing calmly as Trump’s remark became the viral sensation of the summit.

Donald Trump didn’t restrain himself just to the compliment. He pressed on further, calling Meloni “incredible” and “a respected leader in Italy” while complimenting her political career.

One user wrote on X, “This is really just sexism on a global stage. If any other leader said this, there would be outrage but with him, it’s just another day of theatrics which will go unnoticed because of its frequency every single day.”

Well, it’s not happening for the first time that Donald Trump has landed himself in hot water for his comments about women.

Recently, an appeals court upheld a massive $83.3 million penalty against Donald Trump for defaming writer E. Jean Carroll, whom Trump was allegedly found to have sexually assaulted.
