Trump hosted prominent tech leaders at the White House on September 4, 2025
Trump hosted a special dinner with the nation's most powerful technology CEOs at the White House on Thursday evening, September 4, 2025.
In this renewed alliance, the tech CEOs showed immense support to boost artificial intelligence capabilities of America and improve its digital infrastructure by promising hundreds of billions of dollars in domestic investments.
The executive dinner featured big names of Silicon Valley, described by the US President as a meeting of “high IQ people.”
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, seated at Trump’s right, complimented the meeting as “This is quite a group to get together.”
He further added that companies aimed at "making huge investments in the country in order to build out data centers and infrastructure to power the next wave of innovation.”
Responding to this remark, Trump urged him for specifics, to which Zuckerberg asserted that Meta will invest “at least $600 billion” in the US through 2028.
“That’s a lot,” Trump replied, underlining Meta’s $50 billion data center project in Louisiana.
Other prominent CEOs including Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, confirmed that their companies will invest up to $250 billion and $80 billion per year respectively.
Apple chief Tim Cook praised the general support of tech companies for major domestic investment.
Trump also acknowledged the investments from tech companies stating, “This is taking our country to a new level.”
Notable guests include Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, and representatives from Oracle, IBM, and Palantir.
The most prominent absentee was Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who shared on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account that he had been invited but couldn’t attend.
