Technologies that could extend human life revealed after Putin, Xi hot mic leak
Experts warn that there is a biological limit of the human body and no one can live forever
Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin were recently caught on a hot mic having a conversation about immortality.
As Putin shared that there are technologies that could one day achieve immortality, the Chinese president replied, “Some predict that in this century humans may live up to 150 years.”
The longest recorded human lifespan is Jeanne Calment of France, who died in 1997, at the age of 122 years and 164 days.
Since, the conversation between the leaders of two great powers leaked, the technologies that claim to extend life are gaining prominence. The quest for longevity has become a multibillion-dollar industry.
One of the most prominent names when it comes to “achieving immortality” is Bryan Johnson, who is trying to defy aging and extend his life beyond all known limits.
Several technologies have emerged that are apparently helping biohackers push for human longevity, including nanorobots, for AI generated digital clones, bio-engineered organs and even scientists have been successful in de-extinction of some animals lost ages ago e.g. dire wolves.
However, with all its advancements, technology has not been able to find a way towards immortality. Experts warn that there is a biological limit of the human body and no one can live forever.
Talking about the prospect of living up to 150 years,a professor of epidemiology and biostatistics at the University of Illinois Chicago said, “There is nothing available today or visible on the aging science horizon that is even remotely close to achieving this.”
