'The Vampire Diaries': Reason for Jesse Metcalfe for not being cast unveiled
Jesse Metcalfe gets candid about why he lost 'The Vampire Diaries' role
Jesse Metcalfe got honest about the reason he was not cast in The Vampire Diaries.
Even though the actor was looking forward to being part of the supernatural drama but he lost the opportunity – and the cause is quite shocking!
Metcalfe recently made appearance at Ticket2Event’s 12th Annual Luxury Luncheon hosted by Jill Zarin Saturday, July 26.
As he attended the event, he talked exclusively to Us Weekly regarding the matter.
“I think [I auditioned] at the very beginning of the show,” said the 46-year-old. “I think Ian Somerhalder was in the room. [They told me] I had too nice of a face to be a vampire. I was really upset about that, too.”
This is not the first time that the Desperate Housewives alum has made such claim.
Previously too, in Tori Spelling’s misSPELLING podcast the Fortress actor revealed the truth.
“I’ll never forget, a really high-up executive at CW was like, ‘You could never play a vampire because you have too nice of a face,’” he recalled. “That’s what she said to me. She said, ‘You look like too nice of a guy to play a vampire.’”
Even though the Hallmark star did not name the executive he was referring to, he rejects his analysis even after decades of the discussion.
