Kate Middleton looks radiant in first video since long absence: 'Grateful'
The Princess of Wales is 'honoured' and 'grateful' as she makes her first public appearance in a long time
Kate Middleton looked completely in her element as she made her first public appearance in over a fortnight.
On Wednesday, July 2, the Princess of Wales visited the cancer wellbeing centre at Colchester Hospital in Wessex, where she toured The Royal Horticultural Society’s therapeutic wellbeing garden.
During the visit, Kate met with patients and staff and spoke candidly about her post-treatment experience, describing it as a “rollercoaster.”
She also helped plant several “Catherine’s Rose” plants, a newly launched flower named in her honour by the RHS.
To honour her first public visit since her unexpected absence from Royal Ascot in mid-June, Kensington Palace shared a heartfelt video of Princess Catherine to the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
“Honoured to mark the planting of Catherine’s Rose at the RHS Wellbeing Garden in Colchester. A gesture rooted in hope and care,” read the caption.
“Grateful to spend time with NHS staff and volunteers tending this space, and to see the rose incorporated into gardens supporting recovery and reflection across the UK,” the message concluded.
The visit coincided with the donation of fifty of the plants being donated to Colchester, with upto 500 more set to be distributed across the U.K.
