Jacob Elordi, who wrapped shooting the adaptation of Emily Brontë classic Wuthering Heights, shared that he was presented with a big question when he got the call about the opportunity.
The Euphoria actor shared revealed that he had other plans set for before he was offered the project, an exception was made for him.
“I was really lucky,” he told IndieWire in a recent interview. “I was going to take a break for a while, and then Emerald just very simply texted me, and you can’t run from that text.”
Wuthering Heights is directed by Emerald Fennell, who previously worked with Elordi on Saltburn.
The actor is also shared that he didn’t even have to audition for the role because there wasn’t even enough time for it. However, since the director had already worked with him in the 2023 movie, they were able to skip that part.
Elordi is playing the role of Heathcliff in the film and is starring opposite Margot Robbie, who portrays Catherine Earthshaw.
The film will follow the tumultuous relationship between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff which gets passionate and intense after the two meet at the eponymous residence and the impact the relationship has on their families.
