Celine Dion opens up about her hidden health struggle
Celine Dion breaks silence on her hidden health battle on 57th birthday
Celine Dion is offering an inside glimpse into her health condition as she marks her 57th birthday.
The singer, who turns 57 on Sunday, March 30, shared her health journey with Vogue France, revealing how her life changed after noticing symptoms in 2008 during her Taking Chances world tour.
She told the outlet, "I was struggling to control it. I was able to go very high, but then my voice was wracked with kind of spasms. I did what one is meant to do in these days: I went to see a doctor.”
After the doctor told Celine that her vocals sounded just fine, she returned to her $1.2 million Las Vegas home and went on to do five back-to-back tours after that.
Sharing her experiences on muscular stiffness, Dion further went on to add, "I was struggling to move. I had to lean on something to be able to walk.
"I told myself the universe had sent me a sign with Covid: I needed to make the most of this time of rest to discover what was going on.”
Celine admitted that she had been ignoring symptoms for years and it wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic that she decided to prioritize her health.
