Syed Abu Huraira Shah clinched a bronze medal at the International Taekwondo Championship in France, securing an accolade for Pakistan’s growing presence in global martial arts.
Sharing his achievement on social media, Shah expressed his pride and gratitude, stating, "Alhamdulillah, I won a bronze medal for Pakistan in the International Taekwondo Championship in France."
"I am grateful to Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab who supported me in every way to make the name of Pakistan internationally," he added.
The championship featured over 2,000 athletes from more than 20 countries, making it a highly competitive event.
Representing Pakistan in the senior category, Shah displayed an impressive performance to claim the third position.
Shah is no stranger to international competition, having previously represented Pakistan in Malaysia, Qatar, Dubai, Thailand, and Japan, consistently demonstrating his skill and dedication to the sport.
Meanwhile, the 7th Asian Taekwondo (Grade I) Open Championships 2025 is set to take place from February 14-20 at the Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad.
So far, 12 countries have submitted entries for the event, which is expected to draw top talent from across the region.
