Katy Perry reveals secret behind her relationship with Orlando Bloom
Katy Perry opens up about the essentials for having successful relationships
Katy Perry’s heart is filled with nothing but love for her partner Orlando Bloom.
After announcing her first tour in seven years, The Lifetimes Tour, the 40-year-old pop sensation shared how she and her 48-year-old fiancé find ways to support each other amid their busy lives.
In conversation with E! News, she mentioned, "I'm preparing to go on this world tour and he understands that."
"It’s just like when you're preparing to do a movie, and some of the movies he's done are even more physically intense, mentally intense than any of these tours," she continued.
The Dark Horse hitmaker shared how her relationship and family life have helped her stay grounded, expressing her gratitude for having a home and identity beyond her pop star persona.
"It's great to have a family to come home to and a whole identity outside of being 'Katy Perry' and music," the singer said.
"I'm really proud of what I created and the time that I have had off because it's super grounding for me."
Katy shared that her home life revolves around understanding each other’s love languages to help decrease the stressfulness of daily life.
The pop-star explained that understanding a partner's love language helps build deeper connections, sharing that one of her own is acts of service, as she takes joy in caring for others.
"I like to look after people and I like to make sure everyone's having a great time. I find joy in other people's joy," the singer revealed.
When it comes to whether the Troy actor will join her on tour, which starts in Houston, Texas, on May 7, he’ll be there for part of the journey, along with their daughter, Daisy.
