Kim Kardashian took immediate action after facing severe criticism from fans on social media.
The 44-year-old media personality had been silent about the devastating fires in Los Angeles, while promoting her clothing brand, which seemed ‘tone deaf’ to critics.
Following the backlash, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star took to Instagram and wrote on her personal and business story, “We have donated to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation providing critical resources to the heroic first responders protecting our city,” on Friday, January 10th.
“Additionally, we are making a sizable donation of underwear, clothing, and socks to Baby2Baby to help those displaced by the fires.”
In the social media announcement, the reality star also said that her brand Skims is donating “critical resources” to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.
“As our community faces the devastation of the Los Angeles fires, our hearts are with all those impacted, and we are committed to helping during this challenging time,” the socialite continued in the other Story slide, urging her fans to contribute to the cause as well.
“Together, we can bring hope and relief to those who need it most,” she penned.
Earlier this week, Kim was slammed for promoting her brand’s winter sale while the LA neighbourhood caught the flames.
