Elton John makes emotional comment about kids
Elton John upsets partner by a heart-breaking admission
Sir Elton John, who wrote the score for The Devil Wears Prada musical, attended the opening in West End, London.
The 77-year-old singer revealed to the audience that he could not see the performance because he has lost his eyesight but enjoyed the performance anyway.
The Tiny Dancer hitmaker made another heart-breaking comment about the desire to see his kids get married, in a documentary released in September.
In one scene, the star shared his plan to cut back his workload so he can "dedicate more time to my children. I want to see our children get married, but I don't think I'm going to be around for that," according to Radio Times.
His partner David got emotional responding to the comment, as he said, "That really upset me, because in my mind I sort of think Elton is going to live for ever – we all think that – and Elton is so vibrant that it's an easy thing to believe, but it forces you to confront that reality."
The Your Song musician remembered to pay a touching tribute to David in his speech in London on Sunday as he called him “my rock.”
"To my husband who’s been my rock because I haven’t been able to come to many of the previews... it's hard for me to see it but I love to hear it and it sounded good tonight OK. Thank you for coming!"
