King Charles released a meaningful message for a special cause from his ongoing Australia trip.
Buckingham Palace released a delightful statement of His Majesty on the royal family’s official Instagram account.
For the unversed, Telethon and the West Australian community aim to support the health and wellness of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children.
The King of England extended congratulations for raising "$688 million over the years" in his new statement.
The monarch's message reads, "My wife and I were delighted to hear that the channel Seven Telethon was a record-breaking success this weekend."
"While I can’t promise that we were able to watch all 26 hours of the broadcast, we were so pleased to have been here in Australia while your endeavours were taking place."
"That this annual event has not raised an astonishing $688 million over the years is a testament to the generosity, compassion and community spirit of the Australian people that we have witnessed during their tour and on every occasion we have been fortunate enough to visit."
"We congratulate and thank all those who took part and contributed so greatly. Charles R."
It is important to mention that King Charles and Queen Camilla reached Sydney on Friday night to kick off their much-awaited visit. The royal couple attended a series of events since their arrival in Australia.
