Meghan Markle reconnects with Suits co-star offering heartfelt support
The actor admitted he recently received a heartwarming note of support from Prince Harry's wife
Meghan Markle recently reached out to her former Suits co-star, Patrick J. Adams, after years without contact.
The Duchess of Sussex and Adams, who portrayed the on-screen couple Mike Ross and Rachel Zane in the legal drama, had maintained a strong friendship, with Adams and his wife attending the Sussexes' royal wedding in Windsor in 2018.
However, the 43-year-old actor revealed he recently received a heartfelt message of support from Meghan, despite their years of limited communication.
Writing on Reddit while answering fans' questions, Adams said: "She leads a very different life now for obvious and important reasons.
"But upon hearing about the podcast, I got a lovely text, saying how excited she was for us and asking how she could help in any way.
"So lovely to still have that kind of support and friendship after so many years apart."
Sidebar, the podcast hosted by Adams and fellow Suits star Sarah Rafferty, is "dedicated to re-watching and breaking down" the hit legal drama, with "special guests who played a part both in front of and behind the camera".
The Duchess likely had ample advice to share, given her experience launching her own podcast, Archetypes, on Spotify in August 2022.
Meghan’s award-winning podcast featured celebrity guests like Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, Andy Cohen, and Jameela Jamil, and garnered over 10 million downloads before the Sussexes’ partnership with the streaming platform ended in 2023.
Asked by Entertainment Weekly if the duchess would be joining them on Sidebar, Rafferty said: "Everybody's invited.
"Everybody has been so supportive. It's amazing.
"I've just been texting one of our directors, Mike Smith, Rachael Harris had some comments on our Instagram Live this morning, cannot wait for Sheila Sazs to be introduced into the show.
"I can't wait to talk to Max Beesley and all the British actors that we had."
