"Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On' has been widely loved by audiences worldwide since its release in 1997
Celine Dion got all teary-eyed as she felt a wave of emotions while raving about Kelly Clarkson's rendition of My Heart Will Go On.
On Tuesday, October 8, the Queen of Power Ballads took to Instagram to praise Clarkson for doing justice to her 1997 hit. The host of The Kelly Clarkson Show opted to serenade the iconic song from Titanic last month during the show's Kellyoke segment.
"You were absolutely incredible. Fantastic," Dion said, wearing her heart on her sleeve. "I loved it so much. I hope we can see each other in person very soon."
"And I hope I’m not going to start crying," she added, misty-eyed before breaking into tears. "I love you so much."
"It was so sweet to hear you. Your voice—your voice was breaking, and it touched me so tremendously," Dion, 56, praised Clarkson as tears rolled down her cheeks. "You were crying, and you made me start crying. What's up with all this freakin' crying?"
The video message on social media was captioned, "We’re not crying, you are… Watch Celine’s heartfelt reaction to Kelly Clarkson’s monumental Kellyoke cover of My Heart Will Go On."
