Bangladesh qualified for the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2024 with a 21-run win over Nepal in their final league stage game.
The Bangladeshi bowlers defended their total of 106 runs. The match was held at Arnos Vale Stadium, St Vincent.
Tanzim Hasan Sakib shone with the ball, taking four wickets, while Mustafizur Rahman claimed three wickets.
For Nepal, Kushal Malla was the top scorer with 27 runs, and Dipendra Singh Airee added 25 runs.
Bangladesh had posted 106 runs while batting first after Nepal chose to bowl. Shakib Al Hasan was the top scorer for Bangladesh with 17 runs, while Mahmudullah and Rishad Hossain each scored 13.
It was a collective effort by the Nepali bowlers, with Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airee, Rohit Paudel, and Sandeep Lamichhane all taking two wickets each.
