Dakota Johnson’s shocking revelation about her friendship with Sean Penn

Dakota Johnson has recently made shocking revelation about her friendship with Sean Penn.

Speaking at the 2024 Tribeca Festival premiere of the pair's new movie Daddio in New York City on June 10, Dakota revealed, “Sean is my neighbour.”

Before filming Daddio, the Fifty Shades of Grey star said, “When we were figuring out who [his character] Clark was gonna be, we were like, oh, we need a Sean Penn type. And I was like, maybe Sean Penn. So, I went over and I was like, ‘Can you read this?’”

“He comes over for brunch. Sometimes he wears flip flops. You wouldn't expect that,” continued The High Note actress.

Dakota mentioned, “I didn't expect it. And then he left them there at my house for like three months. Everyone was like, whose shoes are these?”

“But yeah, so we had a friendship before and I think it made it feel really like we could really play with the power dynamics in that,” added the Persuasion actress.

While talking about filming Daddio, Dakota pointed out that she “felt like Sean and I were in a little world of our own,” while depicting a long car ride.

The movie’s director Christy Hall pointed out that the production used a soundstage to capture the actors inside the taxi and additionally filmed a cab as it made the trip.

“It felt just so cozy and private. And I think it also made everyone that we were working with feel like everybody knew what we were making, what the goal was,” stated the actress.

Dakota remarked, “It was extremely collaborative and like a real little cozy family.”
