Apple resolves iMessage, FaceTime issues
Here's what to do if your Apple iMessage service stops working
Many users across the globe reported several glitches in Apple’s iMessage and FaceTime services on Thursday afternoon, Business Insider reported.
As per reports, the outage that lasted for an hour and has now been resolved.
After many users began reporting discrepancies, Apple issued a notice on its System Status dashboard that "users were unable to use iMessage, FaceTime, and HomeKit."
It is highly unlikely for iMessage to stop working, however, when it does, this is what you should do.
If iMessage services are down, that means you can still use other messaging services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, X and Facebook Messenger.
If the issue you’re facing is only happening with one contact, then it may not be a service problem.
If you send a message and see a red exclamation mark with an alert that says “not delivered", here’s what you can do:
- Check your network connection.
- Tap on the red exclamation mark and select "Try Again".
If it still doesn’t work, then you can send it as a text message, but beware; choosing this option means messaging rates may apply.
If you still face problems, then try restarting your iPhone.
