Kevin Hart at peace with losing friendship with Tom Brady ahead of brutal roast

Kevin Hart didn’t come to The Roast of Tom Brady to make friends.

Ahead of his brutal roast of the footballer aired on Sunday, May 5th, Hart – who also served as the host – told Entertainment Tonight that he’s expecting and ready to “lose” his friendship with Brady.

“I’m being mean today,” the Jumanji star jokingly declared, further emphasisng, “I’m not nice Kevin today… I’m expecting to lose the relationship with Tom after today. I’ve already come in with that.”

He continued, “I don’t think he has a real idea of, you know, what the world of roasting is, so it’s going to get a little ugly but it’s fun! And I think the world needs this. The world needs to see some, you know, some, some cross-the-line humour that’s done with a tasteful approach where people are having a good time on both sides.”

Hart was indeed not messing around, as he continued to deliver some of the most ruthless jokes at Brady’s expense later in the night.

Brady was subjected to jabs at his divorce, his love life, his multiple retirements, and much more.

Though he was visibly uncomfortable at certain parts, Brady took most of the jokes in good spirit.
