Usher apologises to fans after Lovers and Friends festival gets cancelled
Usher was set to perform his ‘Celebration’ album at the festival held in Las Vegas
Usher tried his best to offer fans – and himself – a little pick-me-up after the Lovers and Friends festival got canceled due to bad weather.
TMZ reported that the King of R&B – who was set to perform his Celebration album at the festival – got the news during his pre-show and was extremely disappointed.
He even took to his social media to express his displeasure and apologise to fans who had flown in to see their favorite artists perform.
“Mannn… I’m just as disappointed as you are. We were getting ready to turn up and celebrate today,” he wrote to his Instagram Stories.
“I have to follow the orders of city officials and the National Weather Service for everyone’s protection and stand strong in my belief that everything happens for a reason,” he expressed
“I’m sorry we won’t get to see each other today, but know that I am always working on something to express my heartfelt gratitude for each and every one of you who continue to support me,” he concluded.
Despite the weather, Usher reportedly kept the party at the pre-show going until the morning.
