What do we know about heated exchange between Jurgen Klopp, Mo Salah?
Teammates Joe Gomez, Darwin Nunez took Mo Salah away
As Liverpool’s forward Mohamed Salah had been grounded for his poor performance since Wednesday, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was spotted having a heated exchange with the club’s striker Saturday, raising eyebrows.
Liverpool was facing West Ham United in the capital city of London during a Premier League match where Mohamed Salah was setting himself up to play with over 11 minutes remaining.
As West Ham missed the opportunity to score a goal, during the 2-2, the 56-year-old manager turned to the 32-year-old forward and exchanged heated words.
His teammates Joe Gomez and Darwin Nunez took the player away.
After the match concluded with a draw between The Reds and The Irons, the Egyptian told the media after consistent requests to talk about the incident: "If I speak today there will be fire."
Klopp also did not reveal what happened between them. He only said: "We spoke already in the dressing room. For me, that's done."
While speaking about Salah whether Salah believed the issue ended, Klopp said: "That's my impression, yes."
"I'm not in the mood to talk about that to be honest or look at that at all," Klopp told TNT, adding that "we had to win here, we knew that, and we didn't, and now we have a little bit more time between now and the next game. We try to get the boys ready again and we will go again."
Klopp is set to bid adieu to the club as this is his last season,
According to Sky Sports, "with just three fixtures remaining, Liverpool remains in third position with 75 points from 35 matches, behind Arsenal and Manchester City."
