Brooke Shields celebrates daughter Grier's 18th birthday

Brooke Shields celebrated her youngest daughter's birthday in a heartwarming display of maternal pride. 

The 58-year-old star, who recently shared insights into her challenging upbringing, took to Instagram on Thursday to commemorate her daughter Grier's 18th birthday.

Shields delighted her followers with adorable photos, including a nostalgic shot of herself planting a kiss on her daughter's cheek when she was just a toddler.

She crafted a collage featuring recent snapshots of her alongside glimpses of her childhood. 

In her caption, the beaming mother expressed her love and admiration for her daughter, remarking, "My baby girl is 18! I love being your mom and seeing the wonderful woman you’re growing into. 

Happy golden birthday, Grier! I love you!" Shields' heartfelt message encapsulated the joy and pride of motherhood.

Shields, alongside her husband Chris Henchy, shares two daughters, Grier and Rowan, aged 18 and 20 respectively. 

Grier Hammond Henchy was born on April 18, 2006, in Los Angeles, and has recently begun to follow in her mother's modeling footsteps.

In May 2022, she made her debut in a Mother's Day campaign for Victoria's Secret, a moment that was emotionally significant for Brooke. 

Reflecting on the experience with People magazine, she expressed pride in her daughter's strength and character, stating, "To watch her handle herself in a way, it makes me realize, okay, she's a pretty strong character."
