The tallest man and the smallest woman in the world have reunited, six years after pictures of them both in front of the Egyptian pyramids went viral.
Sultan Kosen is an astounding 8 feet 3 inches tall, whereas Jyoti Amge is only 2 feet tall. On Monday, the two got together in Irvine, California, and took group photos, according to The Mirror.
Sultan became the "Tallest Living Man" in 2009 while Jyoti became the "Shortest Living Woman" in 2011 according to the Guinness World Records.
The two, who are six feet apart in height, made an impressive pair when they stood near the pyramids in Cairo back in 2018.
The Giza Pyramids served as the backdrop for a photo shoot featuring the 41-year-old Sultan and the 30-year-old Jyoti, which was organised as part of a push to boost Egypt's flagging tourism business. Their peculiar statures are the consequence of health issues.
Jyoti's growth was slowed due to achondroplasia, a type of dwarfism. Sultan, on the other hand, experienced a massive growth spurt when he was ten years old due to a lesion that produced pituitary gigantism.
Pictures from their most recent encounter illustrate how drastically different they are in height. In one, Jyoti is pictured standing next to a shoe that belongs to Sultan and is nearly as tall as she is.
In an another picture, the two are seated on the ground in a similar position, with one leg folded in and the other extended; however, Jyoti's seat didn't reach Sultan's knee. In a separate photo, Sultan is seated on a chair, and Jyoti is standing next to him on one, but she is barely touching his shoulders.
In 2009, Sultan made history by being the first man to be measured standing at more than eight feet for more than 20 years, according to Guinness World Records. They stated that, as far as they are aware, there have only been ten instances in history where someone grew to a height of eight feet or more.
Sultan, a Turkish part-time farmer, won the title of Tallest Living Man in 2009 with a height measurement of 8 feet 1 inch, or 246.6 cm. When he was measured again two years later in Ankara, Turkey, it was discovered that he had grown by more than an inch, measuring 8 feet 2.8 inches, or 251 cm.
