X resumes service following global outage
Users were unable to view posts on application, with just "Welcome to X!" visible on their feeds
Social media website X, formerly known as Twitter, has resumed its service briefly after it suffered an outage for users around the world on Thursday.
An online service status information platform, Downdetector.com, earlier confirmed that X and its advanced version — X Pro — suffered outages globally. In about one and a half hours, the issue was fixed.
According to Downdetector.com, over 47,000 users in the United States alone were unable to access the platform's regular and pro offerings.
Users were unable to view posts on the application, with just "Welcome to X!" visible on their feeds and loading issues are being encountered with the message "Waiting for posts" visible on profiles and feeds, respectively.
Here's how users reacted to X's outage.
