RMS staff gets first aid training
Islamabad
The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) organised first aid training for the junior staff of Roots Millennium Schools (RMS) of the twin cities Rawalpindi and Islamabad, says a press release.
The event was followed by PRCS certificate distribution ceremony amongst the volunteers and an inspirational talk by PRCS Chairman Dr. Saeed Elahi. The RMS has signed an MoU with PRCS to promote volunteerism and community work.
The training was attended by 200 people where they were taught how to save lives in emergency situations. The PRCS emergency response service is playing a crucial role in saving lives. The service provided throughout most parts of the country uses fully equipped ambulances staffed by paramedical assistants and first-aid workers. First aid training course in RMS is organised to teach simple skills which would help people to provide first aid in case of an emergency.
The PRCS chairman praised the contribution of RMS towards volunteerism & community work and to strengthen this relationship further he offered junior staff of Millennium Schools to be a part of upcoming volunteer projects.
Such trainings can contribute in saving lives and improving quality of living so they should be organized more frequently and for a wider audience which may include students, administrative staff and teachers as well.
