Pak-India DGMOs make hotline contact, discuss ceasefire violation
ISLAMABAD: Indian troops on the Line of Control (LoC) resorted to heavy unprovoked firing and shelling in the Neza Pir sector late last night.
According to ISPR, the unprovoked firing, which started at 23:40hrs last (Saturday) night lasted till 04:45hrs early morning (Sunday). The Pakistan Army troops befittingly responded to unprovoked Indian firing and shelling. No loss was reported so far.
Meanwhile, the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India on Sunday contacted each other on hotline in the backdrop of ceasefire violation by the Indian Army on late Saturday. The hotline contact between the DGMOs of Pakistan and India was established on Sunday in the backdrop of ceasefire violation by the Indian Army on night 9-10 April 2016, an ISPR news release here stated. Issues related to ceasefire violation across the Line of Control (LoC) were discussed during the hotline contact, it said. The Pakistani DGMO protested against the unprovoked initiation of fire by Indian troops along LoC, the release added.
